o Process to ensure Project implementation & sign off effective
• Engineering & Technical Excellence
o Ensuring compliance to engineering standards and specifications
o Effectively manage and overcome engineering challenges ensuring project
remains on time and desired standards
o Stake Holder engagement, alignment & contribution is maintained throughout
the project from IA phase to SOP
o Project Lessons learned are adequately recorded, shared and considered in new
projects
o Operational excellence ensured through robust process implementation,
standardization and adherence
• Project Financial Management
o Short, medium and long Term Planning/budgeting for Capex is actively
management and readily available
o Project Cost Management is effective and well managed
o Projects identified and implemented for cost saving achieve their targets and
are sustainable
o Supplier base is maximized to ensure competitive bidding
• Department Budget and resource management
o Oversee allocation and management of the project engineering department
budget.
• Leadership & Team Management
o Hire, Train and mentor department staff to foster a skilled and motivated
workforce.
o Focussed Development of people with succession planning in mind (GAP analysis)

B-Tech / BSc / BEng Engineering Degree (Mechanical and/or Electrical)
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in project engineering or project management
• Experience managing capital projects such as equipment installation, plant upgrades, or
process improvements, including the following concepts:
o Understanding of Safety / Health and Environmental legislation.
o Machinery operation / automation / maintenance & mechanics.
o Manufacturing processes and plant operations.
o Engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment installation.
o Capital expenditure project management.
o Complex Contractor / Supplier management and Efficient people management
