Overview

This role sits within the Strategic Remediation Control Office, which leads the Transformation and Remediation at Deutsche Bank. The US Transformation Office leads oversight of programs which contribute to the uplift of the Firm’s capabilities across multiple lines of defense working in partnership with global Businesses, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Audit. The team ensures alignment of the portfolio of projects remains within groupwide strategic priorities and are successfully implemented to achieve the intended benefit and outcomes. Insights produced are critical to ensuring successful closure at the end of execution of project plans. What You’ll Do

  • Establish and maintain global framework for enhanced review and challenge of remediation delivery and outcomes, including testing capability aligned to regulatory expectations and criteria for scope of application

  • Closure advocacy of the Bank’s regulatory responses, remediation programs, and global key deliverables by ensuring complete, effective, and sustainable outcomes

  • Perform testing assessments and assurance as to the design and operational effectiveness of controls; draft controls narratives and document testing results

  • Investigate and provide formal recommendations on process adoptions, conformance to standards and responses to regulatory inquiries, and remediation plans

  • Foster active stakeholder engagement by ensuring a close collaboration with key stakeholders across the Bank and working closely with subject matter experts on relevant regulatory remediation programs

  • Train organization on “what good looks like” in partnership with audit

How You’ll Lead

  • Mentoring and coaching junior members of the team

  • Positively influencing diverse stakeholders without direct authority

  • Managing upward communications to effectively escalate and inform decision-making

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or above

  • Extensive working experience in the financial services industry and a clear understanding of Finance’s key processes and systems

  • Strong reading, writing, and reporting skills and experienced in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering, and Sanctions, etc

  • Significant experience in risk management and controls, effectively identifying and assessing risks within a project/program along with developing and implementing sustainable mitigating actions. Ability to identify risks and issues and escalate timely and effectively

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Extensive experience in reviewing and challenging project plans and artifact evidence, effectively informing the success of achieving outcome intended closures

  • Assurance, auditor, and/or regulatory background

  • Advanced skills in elective stakeholder management along with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss and face different points of view or disagreements in a constructive manner

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $115,000 to $189,750. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
