Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The Senior Business Functional Analyst is responsible for ensuring requirements are captured, analyzing the impact of changes, and supporting the business throughout the implementation process. The Senior Business Functional Analyst is also responsible for guiding Business Functional Analysts in the review and analysis of requirements and functional specifications to ensure quality of deliverables.
In addition to the Business Analyst function also it is expected to assume a key role on the applications maintenance, taking responsibility for keeping the service operational and ensuring its proper functioning.
This person must be in close contact with multiple local (Spanish) teams (business and operations) helping on the requirements definition to be shared with the development teams (distributed in different locations) for their implementation, once distributed the BA will continue in contact to the teams supporting the resolution of functional doubts.
Your key responsibilities
- Requirements definition
- Functional design and technical design
- Deep knowledge of systems and applications under him/her control to define their evolution.
- Involved in the analysis of new projects, enhancements, and maintenance of a specific for a set of applications
- IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance
- Application changes are aligned with the application strategy
- Identification and management of risk and issues associated with the application
- Maximum operational availability and stability
- Cost efficiency
Your skills and experiences
- Experience and knowledge of banking business and its operations, mainly related to Partner Data.
- Experience with functional and technical documentation, architectural diagram, components, flows, use cases
- Person with solid functional / technical knowledge and able to understand complex business processes and workflows
- Mainframe (Cobol/CICS/DB2) expertise for more than 15 years
- Teamwork capacity with multidisciplinary teams
- Leadership and communication skills
- Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts and plan tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Agile methodology applied to applications development
- Good Spanish and English level allowing fluid oral and writing communications
