Commercial Banking Tribe

You’ll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

We are on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. We are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and we are collaborating with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer (f/m/x) you will be part of our Sales Squads implementing digital sales processes for small and medium corporates within Deutsche Bank.

Your key responsibilities

  • You implement features for our digital sales processes for small and medium corporates within Deutsche Bank

  • You develop and document application components which fulfil business requirements as well as technical requirements like observability, scalability, stability/resilience

  • You write clear, maintainable, and reusable code and take part in code reviews to ensure that features are developed at high quality standards

  • You participate in and actively contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions within the team

  • You are working in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy and actively engage in the engineering community, share your knowledge, and build up a solid network

Your skills and experiences

  • University degree with technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience

  • Several years of experience in frontend development of robust and reusable code, especially experience with JavaScript (including Node.js framework) and frameworks like Angular. Practical experience in Java backend development including Spring framework is a plus

  • Practical experience with DevOps tools like OpenShift, TeamCity and cloud-based environments (ideally Google Cloud Platform)

  • You can execute the full SDLC, write good, reusable, testable and maintainable code and you are familiar with agile work

  • You are a good team player who likes to share content and best practices, have good communication skills and can communicate fluently in English
