IP-Services

Global Network Services Engineering is a group of Network specialists dealing with the engineering standard solutions and standard designs for Deutsche Bank networks and network connections to customers, business partners and the Internet. The IP-Services Engineering team is part of the GNS Engineering group and is globally responsible for the architecture and design of core network IP Services like Domain Name Service (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), IP Address Management (IPAM) and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB).

As a Senior IP-Services Engineer, you will be responsible for the development/delivery of IP Services products in line with DB and industry standards to meet business requirements, providing solutions to larger (client facing but also internal) projects and for maintaining a very large-scale global infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities

  • Defining and enhancing the global DNS/DHCP/IP management and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) infrastructure for Intranet and Internet based IP-Services

  • Testing, selecting, and developing new technologies for IP-Services into standard-based products as well as defining global standard documents and guidelines for all products and architectures

  • Serving as a focal point of contact within the Network Engineering team for all topics related to IP-Services and providing support and consultancy to network deployment-, operations-, and business teams

  • Managing global projects, including close coordination with other departments, and executing global governance for various projects and their standard compliance

  • Acting as a last-level escalation contact in critical business-incident situations

Your skills and experiences

  • Degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on Computer Science or an IT-related discipline

  • Extensive professional working experience in at least one of the following areas: IP Services technologies (DNS, DHCP, GSLB), IP Address Management (DDI) solutions -preferably Infoblox or Vital QIP -, and GSLB products/solutions (preferably F5)

  • Strong technical leadership capabilities as well as ability to handle customers and vendors

  • Ability to work in a team and to self-organize as well as strong presentation- and documentation capabilities

  • Fluency in written and spoken English; German is a plus
