Contextual Banking Tribe

The Contextual Banking Tribe delivers products and services that are easy to integrate, accessible, consumable and allow our clients to integrate more deeply with DB delivering greater value beyond banking.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting teams and to push the boundaries of the possible. You will help to shape our use of automation tooling and the development of micro-services infrastructure, while working with distributed systems. You will be at home in Linux and aware of the operating system fundamentals in terms of configuration, security, and networking.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with both developers and operation teams with a focus on automating build and deployment; write, plan, create infra as a code using Terraform

  • Implement CI/CD in projects and develop a continuous deployment pipeline, using GitHub, Google Cloud Build, and Docker for a wide range of server types across geographically separated zones

  • Manage source code (SCM), using tools like GitHub (with Git workflows) or Bitbucket

  • Enable software build and deploy using tools such as Artifactory and Docker Repository as well as ensure an effective team collaboration using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools

  • Build environments for unit tests, integration tests, system tests, and acceptance tests

Your skills and experiences

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field

  • Experience with terraform and at least one of the three major cloud providers: GCP, Azure, or AWS

  • Experience in observability and monitoring of enterprise grade systems

  • Network administration skills to troubleshoot and trace symptoms

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills; German is a plus
