Job Title - GCP Data Engineer

Location - Pune, India

Role Description:

An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments.

Engineers actively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of components by applying the learning from monitoring and observation, automating towards zero touch, and championing a 'DevOps' mind-set.

Your key responsibilities:

• Work with both developers and operations teams with a focus on automating build and deployment.
• Design and develop a continuous deployment pipeline using GitHub.
• Implement CI/CD in projects (GitHub Action).
• Source Code Management (SCM) using tools, e. g. GitHub (with Git workflows) / Bitbucket
• Write, plan, create infra as a code using Terraform
• Provisioning both day to day operations, monitoring and automation
• Ensure team collaboration using Jira, Confluence, and other tools.
• Building environments for unit tests, integration tests, system tests, and acceptance tests
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new any existing technologies Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of design of native Cloud applications.
• Provide technical leadership and implement best practices.
• Write advanced SQL and Python scripts

Your skills and experience:

• 6+ years of IT experience; as a hands-on technologist.
• Experienced in Python.
• Experienced in Terraform/ Hashicorp.
• Experienced in GitHub and Git Actions
• Experienced in CI-CD
• Experienced in Cloud Computing
• Good to have Bit Bucket
• Good to have Java

Soft Skills

• Ability to work as part of a team and strong inter-personal skills
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt and mentor junior team members
