Your key responsibilities:

• Act as the legal manager of a chapter of Android engineer professionals part of the division TDI Private Bank.
• Is responsible for hiring and development of the members of this chapter.
• Is part of the global leadership team of the Chapter Area Lead and is responsible to align the local organisation to the global profession practices and strategies.
• Acts as role model for individuals aspiring to follow an expert career path by passionately promoting the merits of expert roles and the contribution of their Profession.
• Challenges the ‘status quo’ and influences key stakeholders to ensure industry best practice is adhered to within their area of expertise.
• Mentors individuals across the Bank who wish to follow an expert career path through sharing their experience, expertise and insight.
• Work together with our current mobile platforms chapter leads and grow the current chapter members, improve hiring process and define career paths.
• Continue to work with 80% of the capacity within software development projects as a Senior Android Engineer to develop and maintain existing mobile applications in Private Bank.
• Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. Plans own work to meet given objectives and processes.

Your skills:

• Solid and proven work experience in native Android development (banking experience would be a plus).
• Well versed in Android development and have strong knowledge of Kotlin, RxJava/RxKotlin/coroutines, Dagger Dependency Injection, Jetpack compose, Android Studio etc.
• Very good knowledge of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns (MVVM, MVP etc.), Google design guidelines and general best practices for Android development.
• You can develop reusable frameworks and you have good knowledge about automated CI/CD process.
• You are very experienced in Client-Server architectures using HTTPS, REST and JSON.
• Experience with Mobile App Hardening tools like Arxan/Verimatrix is a plus.
• You have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and you are an effective team player.
• You are motivated to mentor and develop skills of the engineers in your chapter.
• You are able to work in a global multi-cultural environment and can work with teams located in different time zones.
• You have a talent for keeping team members motivated, engaged and satisfied with their work.
• You are able to plan future staffing needs and hold recruitment interviews to identify top engineering talents for your chapter.
