DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding.

The team is made up of enthusiastic professionals that work in an international environment, learning new technologies as part of Deutsche Banks’ businesses.

The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will work on a very critical project involving moving several millions of clients from legacy systems into Google Cloud.
  • You will work close with our Distinguished engineers to design technical solutions to very complex migration challenges
  • You will code but stay close to solution design too, iterate and collaborate with a global team of engineers from Source (legacy) and Target systems (Cloud)
  • You will design a solution to prepare (encrypt, transform) and move the files from Source to target but also on a solution to reconciliate the data (check if data extracted correspond with the data inserted into target)

Your skills

  • Very profficient with: Java, JPA, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Microservice architecture, Docker
  • Experience with SDLC tools – Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Github
  • Automation mindset and experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines, ideally Github Actions.
  • Knowledge and experience in cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Good English level
