Deutsche Bank Research offers global and industry knowledge that generates consistent outperformance through an in-depth, comprehensive, multi-asset class research product. Key research disciplines include Equity, Fixed Income, Economics, Foreign Exchange, and Emerging Markets. Over the past few years, Deutsche Bank has consistently ranked highly in the Institutional Investor’s surveys. The Research & Index Technology Program is an engineering focused organization striving for the highest quality architecture, design, and code. We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, independent thinking professional to take a pivotal role in a global team of technology specialists within Research & Index Technology. You will be part of the team developing applications to support a wide range of Research business processes including Contracting/Entitlements, Reference Data, Management Information System (MIS) reporting & Analytics

What You’ll Do
Build the Infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and data loading from a variety of data sources using batch processing
Consult on improving data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Ensure architecture supports business requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate, and refine stories
Design, implement, and test solutions, providing support through the production process
Build reliable software that is easy to support in production and design and develop high-quality and easily maintainable code
Skills You’ll Need
Experience building enterprise applications using Java and Scala and operating systems such as Unix
Proficiency in Structure Query Language
Experience with Apache Ecosystem, including Spark, Hive, and Hadoop
Knowledge of TeamCity, or similar tool for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
Hands-on experience in BI Tooling – Tableau is required, others a plus. Experience data structures, algorithms, and columnar Database Management System, preferably Click House
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Clearly communicate, and work effectively with team members and stakeholders through the agile delivery cycle
Blend technology knowledge and skills with domain expertise to build the right solution and business processes
Desirable: Experience in Google Cloud based MIS & Data engineering tools (Big Query / Data Studio)
Desirable: Any modern Frontend development experience in JavaScript (like Vue.js, React, Angular, etc)
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary, North Carolina is $100k to $142k. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
