Overview

Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) Technology within Investment Bank Technology is responsible for managing end to end technology related to FX, Emerging markets, Rates, Credit and Listed Derivatives businesses. Within it, the Core Trading Technologies (CTT) team is responsible for management of Deutsche Bank’s premier Ultra Low Latency trading platform spanning 20 datacenters in 4 regions and providing algorithmic execution, market data and post-trade services to over a dozen critical business applications in Equity Derivatives, FX, Rates, Credit and Commodities. The Core Trading Technologies team is seeing an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead and deliver a trading infrastructure book of work. This Engineer will work with CIO team, Business teams to drive the priorities and projects to achieve automation and instrumentation in managing the Ultra Low Latency trading plant.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and support deployment automation tools (in-house solutions and Ansible/AWX modules and playbooks and similar)

  • Develop and support monitoring and reporting tools for internal and external needs

  • Develop and support software development lifecycle governance and audit automation tools - both in-house solutions as well as add-ons and modules for standard tools used across the street

  • Develop and support data feeds and integrations with the Firm's standard ecosystem services - entitlements, regulatory reporting, inventory services, etc

Skills You’ll Need

  • Good UNIX/Linux skills including hands-on experience with UNIX shell (bash/ksh/jsh)

  • Python 3 and Python 2.7 required. Java/Java Spring Boot, Kotlin, Node.js desirable

  • In-depth professional experience of Dev Ops and/or software engineering and experience with packet capture technology such as Corvil and network analytics would be a plus

  • Knowledge of SQL/noSQL based database technologies, at least one of - PostgresSQL, KDB+, InfluxDB and networking knowledge: Ethernet basics, TCP/IP administration (routing, firewalls, etc)

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle including VCS (GitHub, bitbucket, etc)

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
