About Role

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Java Back-End Engineer with a strong background in the Spring Framework and microservices architecture. In this role, you'll be a key player in designing, developing, and deploying robust back-end systems that power our cutting-edge applications. Experience with cloud deployments is a big plus!

Responsibilities

·Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable and efficient back-end services using Java and the Spring Framework.

·Implement and manage microservices architecture to enhance the modularity and scalability of our systems.

·Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.

·Deploy, manage, and monitor applications in cloud environments (GCP).

·Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices like code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.

·Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

·Continuously improve our development processes and tools.

Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.).

• Microservices: Hands-on experience with designing and implementing microservices architecture.

• Cloud: Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP) and experience in deploying and managing applications in the cloud.

• Database: Solid understanding of relational databases (eg PostgreSQL) and experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Agility: Comfortable working in an agile development environment and adapting to changing requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP GKE).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.

• Understanding of security best practices in software development.
