As a DevOps Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals, join the agile development team and be responsible for full continuous integration/continuous deployment or development (CI/CD) lifecycle of applications in scope, using industry best practices and developing new tools to improve service development experience for delivery teams and service delivery pipelines, and become a part of a globally scaled DevOps engineering team. Focus will be on convenient, fast, and reliable build and delivery solutions, which can be used across the Bank.

What You’ll Do

  • Configure/build and continuously improve shared CI/CD and minoring components, and ensure CI/CD implementations are based on Configuration-as-Code and Pipeline-as-Code, and ensure infrastructure is built as Infrastructure-as-Code

  • Builds, expand, enhance, and maintain CI/CD/CT automation pipeline across Dev, quality assurance (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and Prod environments

  • Develop automations (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, access, integrations, etc.)

  • Work with QA team to integrate Continuous Deployment processes and Continuous Testing processes

  • Work with site reliability engineers (SRE) and Ops teams to build and configure monitoring solutions

  • Constantly learn and research new technologies to develop solutions for monitoring, infrastructure, automation of build, test, release, and deployment procedures

Skills You’ll Need

  • Hands-on experience with build frameworks (Gradle, Maven, npm, tox) and CI/CD automation using Jenkins, TeamCity, GitActions, etc

  • Very good knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, etc.)

  • Experience working with REST application programming interfaces (APIs) and microservices, with code analyzers / linters (Veracode, SonarQube, ktlint, eslint, Jacoco, etc), and with monitoring, logging, and tracing services (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, New Relic, Splunk, ELK, Zipkin, etc.)

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of Linux, shell scripting, Ansible, Structured Query Language, application layer protocols (HTTP/S, TLS/SSL, FTP, etc.)

  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, deploying VMs using Terraform

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Santa Ana office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion. The salary range for this position in California is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
