Overview
The Inhouse Global Database Support Team is responsible for operating the Banks most business critical and sensitive internally hosted Database infrastructure. We operate a follow the sun 24x7team located in all global regions and have Databases and staff in major hub and branch locations. We are searching for a professional who is proficient within Database (Oracle) and Other comprehensive income (OCI) Cloud environment, to take on a senior role in Database support and incident and problem management. The role requires a Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive experience in a large investment banking environment. The DBA must be expert with Oracle database administration with strong experience in Oracle Exadata Database administration, configuration management, performance management, troubleshooting, analysis, and capacity planning, The ideal professional will have several years of experience within database administration including experience with EXAC@C and OCI.

What You’ll Do
Provide rapid diagnosis and service recovery during high-severity incidents, focusing on Global Database infrastructure
Manage database upgrades, patching, and compliance with the technology roadmap
Optimize system performance through advanced tunings and implement system standardization and automation
Work closely with third-party vendors to resolve issues and improve database services
Participate in a global follow-the-sun support model, including some weekend and after-hours escalation and ensure consistent monitoring and proactive management of Oracle Exadata systems
Skills You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Expertise in Oracle database administration, with hands-on experience in Oracle Exadat
Proficiency in Oracle technologies such as RAC, Dataguaard, and Goldengate for database administration
Strong skills in database management tasks like patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Enterprise Manager Grid Control
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking for troubleshooting database issues
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying updated with new database technologies and best practices
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is$78,000.00 to $111,800.00. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
