Overview:

Group COO acts as the bridge between the bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control and transformation goals of the bank. By working towards an agreed operating model (technology, processes, people, data and controls) for the entire bank, Group COO will enable business and help the bank reinvest into further growth opportunities.

Software Asset Management (SAM) involves managing and optimising the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilisation, and disposal of software applications. Software License Management (SLM) is sub-process of SAM, which includes controlling how the company's software products are able to run to enforce and ensure compliance with software licenses.

Software License Management (“SLM”) Analyst: The overall responsibility of this function is to improve/create a robust governance around how Deutsche Bank is handling its Software License Management (SLM). This includes, but is not limited to, defining consistent processes, roles & responsibilities and frameworks to ensure that SLM is able to demonstrate effective & independently auditable controls around deployed Software. In addition, you will also review and improve the current software license portfolio, create real time Management Reporting, look for cost saving opportunities to help reduce DB’s cost base, and define & implement new controls to ensure SLM risks are minimised.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and guide users of the software within the bank for all software related queries.
  • Understand the license models of a variety of vendors to interpret usage scenarios.
  • Prepare various reports to communicate license and software deployment status to different stakeholders such as software owners, license managers, cost centre owner.
  • Support the Global Head of Software Management Operation in managing and controlling software license management capability within DB.
  • Support the definition, communication & implementation of an SLM governance framework across DB.
  • Support the standardisation of the toolset used for SLM (including at least license registration, proof of entitlements, software deployment metering, audit scanning etc).
  • Work with internal DB Software owners, Global Sourcing & Software suppliers to optimize Software License Usage.
  • Support the implementation of tooling to automate the management of end user software query.
  • Act as a point of contact for all Software Licensing related topics & questions including supporting external supplier queries, certification & audit requests

You will have:

  • Some background in banking or similar complex large organization (at least 2-4 years in the industry)
  • Previous knowledge or experience in Software License Management, Software Asset Management.
  • Strong experience of Software Asset Management tooling, primarily Flexera and ServiceNow.
  • An understanding of software contract / license types and their meaning and implications for an organization incl. experience or knowledge of open source or Cloud provider software license implications
  • Experience engaging, communicating and influencing senior management of all levels
  • A solid track record of developing concepts, defining & implementing policies & governance and delivering projects
  • Strong analytical skills including high level Excel skills, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility in problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in both written and verbal English
  • A good understanding of the complexities around working in distributed global teams
