Team / division overview
As part of our Xtrackers team, you as a Product Specialist (Analyst) – Xtrackers form part of a global team located in New York, London, Frankfurt and Luxembourg. As a Product Specialist in the Passive business, You cover the entire lifecycle of Xtrackers ETFs, ETCs, and Institutional Mandates from the first idea, through index and product design to implementation and ongoing maintenance and liquidations. Your key focus will be on implementing product events, running regular product maintenance tasks and and becoming an expert on relevant Passive regulation. You will soon be able to structure your very first Xtrackers product and take responsibility for owning regular processes across ETFs and ETCs. You will be a key team member in implementing new regulations across our business. You will be a key partner to stakeholders across the business and industry including daily interaction with; portfolio managers, trading & execution, legal & compliance, client coverage and various external participants. The Passive Product team has a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture, located across the globe with a strong track-record of developing and promoting talent.
Role Details
As a Product Specialist Analyst - Xtrackers you will (be):
- Play a leading role in the development of new ETP concepts and platform projects from business case to implementation, co-ordinating across stakeholders e.g. Portfolio Management, Sales, Legal, Capital Markets as well as external service and data providers
- Grow into a position to structure product events (e.g. launches, changes, and terminations) of ETCs and ETFs from front-to-back while working with partner groups supporting the event, with a focus on drafting of legal documentation and operational implementation
- Handling of internal regulatory and governance requirements (eg. Internal product approvals, MIFID/PRIIPs, Audit contribution) from a Passive Products perspective
- Support and lead any projects affecting the current set-up of products, ongoing processes and regulatory implementation. Including projects from small up-keep through to platform transformation initiatives
- Supporting the ongoing maintenance of and improvements to the product platform, including the continuous improvement and digitalisation of processes
- Have a strong understanding of the governance processes and be able to present compelling new product proposals to the relevant committees and boards
We are looking for
- University degree, preferably in Finance/Economics, Business Administration or Law
- Good knowledge and previous work experience in the Passive (ETF/ ETC) sector or in an auditor / consulting firm, or a law firm and a keen interest in investment products and respective regulatory developments in general
- Previous experience in a regulatory or legal environment around UCITS, BMR, SFDR and other applicable regulations and an ability to efficiently communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences
- Experience in managing product events, ongoing product maintenance and/or regulatory knowledge (UCITS, MiFID, BMR, SFDR) as a plus
- Field experience in project management also a clear plus
- Highly diligent, attention to detail working style
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient, with a can-do attitude and a strong willingness to learn, take on new challenges and serve our clients
- Diligent, efficient and able to manage multiple conflicting deliverables including working under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Strong English language skills required. Additional relevant languages (eg. German, French, Italian) as a plus
