Details of the Division and Team:

The Business Product Specialist participates in the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle for new or existing products. The role encompasses a broad set of activities required to get the product (or set of products) to market and to support it thereafter. The Business Product Specialist participates in business case development and business analysis to identify how value is created, specific price points and analysis of market sizing / potential. The Business Product Specialist assists in gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements to define the product vision. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Partakes in product strategy formulation to generate competitive advantage for clients and drive value creation. Conducts regular product reviews to resolve any obstacles and issues that may arise during a product’s lifecycle. Provides ongoing analysis of the product in the marketplace, articulates the needs of the market, reports competitor activity and plans development of future releases. Works to ensure the product supports the company’s overall strategy and meets legal and regulatory compliance. In the absence of a dedicated product marketing specialist, the Business Product Specialist assumes the marketing responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Work in close cooperation with teams across the Corporate Cash Management business, such as Country Product Management, Sales and Coverage, Implementation and Services and other corporate functions covering IT, Operations, Compliance, Risk et. al. to develop the Instant Payments product offering across the region

  • Assess market and regulatory drivers in a market of interest, articulate the business value to facilitate prioritization of product delivery by Business stakeholders

  • Work with IT delivery and Architecture teams to articulate business and regulatory requirements and end-to-end user-journeys. Engage in technical and functional discussions to shape product design in line with the Bank's strategic roadmap for Instant payments

  • A key responsibility would be to own the end-to-end payment and data flows to ensure compliance with data controls, completeness and risk management for Instant payments in APAC

  • Manage product life-cycle post-delivery for incremental enhancements and changes as necessary. Ensure ongoing compliance of the Product with Deutsche Bank policies and risk profile and manage product governance through periodic Product Risk Assessment (PRA), Structured Product Reviews (SPR) and audits

  • Be an Agile change agent within the Bank to push Agile product delivery

  • Support the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) planning and commitment of the Instant Payments Squads and ensure delivery in line with CCM prioritization

  • Influence decisions on Market Strategy, Platform Strategy, Client Engagement and implementing Innovative technology-based solutions

  • Work closely with in-country business and client-facing teams to evaluate emerging client use-cases and actively support solutioning of such use-cases through the Instant Payments product suite

  • Drive commercialization and profitability assessment of products in scope, and reporting the same to senior stakeholders periodically

Tribe specific tasks:

  • Understand CCM Priorities and plan delivery based on available capacity to ensure the right sized delivery commitments of the dedicated Squads

  • Support the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) planning and commitment of the Instant Payments Squads and ensure delivery in line with CCM prioritization

  • Work on Tribe Memo and track achievements of the previous quarter

  • Manage Dependencies, Risks and Issues in close interaction with the Tribe Lead

Your skills and experience:

  • An ideal candidate for this role is expected to have about 5 years of product experience building payments systems of scale, with good knowledge of end-to-end Payment’s value-chain, including but not restricted to technology, operations, regulatory, compliance and risk aspects of handling Payments

  • A working understanding of atleast 1-2 real-time payments schemes in the APAC region is a must

  • Prior experience of working with corporate clients to implementing API-based integration with the Bank’s payment products and channels is a must

  • Experience on product life-cycle management across different business areas, such as Sales, Implementation, Product Management, Ops and IT

  • Experience having worked in Agile delivery setups at scale

  • Capable of independent and pragmatic work style, guaranteeing high degree of solutions and delivery achievements

  • A team player with good interpersonal skills and able to take initiative.

  • Effective and concise communicator at all levels, both verbal and written.
