Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The Issuing Team is first and foremost responsible for driving the card business of Deutsche Bank as part of the Merchant Solutions Unit. As business development unit, we fulfil two core functions i) creation of relevant products (e.g. co-branded cards) / features to increase our market share in the card business market and ii) setup/ managing complex client projects from supporting sales to implementation. You will be the link of Merchant Solutions to internal stakeholders as well as our cooperation partners by continuously engaging with them. You will ensure a successful project setup, coordinate internal/external parties as well as bringing in new ideas to ensure maximum success for the product launch.
Your key responsibilities
Day-to-day management of existing cooperations (e.g. customer requests, analysis of reports, analytics to define growth based on e.g. customer behaviour)
Identify and setup new product features incl. launch preparation
Prepare and hold senior management presentation on relevant project progress
Steering of internal / external project related parties to ensure project success
Actively identify and mitigate projects risks
Define growth measures e.g. based on benchmarking
Supporting marketing to define campaigns driving further growth
Support additional pitches to further grow the co-brand card business
Your skills and experiences
Having an in-depth experience when it comes to card issuing and Merchant Solutions product space, additional product knowledge on cash payments, FX and lending products is beneficial
Several years of relevant experience in the cards area, Project Management or Consulting
Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects
Strong business acumen paired with analytical, strategic skills, identifying new business opportunities and “injecting” entrepreneurial ideas
Highly driven and motivated individual with a proven ability to execute tasks and initiatives
Excellent communication skills, fluency in English and German language – verbally and in writing”
