Overview

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) on our Automation as a Service team, you’ll be instrumental in enhancing the quality and performance of our software solutions. You will play a key role in designing and building automation tests for both API and user interfaces, directly influencing the delivery of high-quality technology. By collaborating with global teams, including developers, UX/ user interface (UI) designers, and business analysts, you will help shape solutions that meet the highest standards. Your contributions will ensure the seamless integration of testing practices into our agile development process, enhancing our overall software delivery pipeline.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop integration tests for REST application programming interface (APIs) and React-based UI components

  • Update and improve the continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD) pipeline to integrate new tests and influence system design for optimal testing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, architects, business analysts) across multiple regions to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions

  • Manage the software development life cycle (SDLC) for software components, ensuring smooth production deployment and issue resolution

  • Maintain and deepen knowledge of the financial industry, focusing on the Payments domain and how processes vary across regions

  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform triaging to resolve application problems

Skills You’ll Need

  • Expertise in SDET/Quality Assurance automation with active coding experience (Java, Python, Bash, SQL)

  • Proficiency in testing frameworks (Selenium, Python) and working with both Unix and Windows platforms

  • Experience in backend testing (databases, APIs) using tools like SoapUI and Postman, as well as UI testing for React components

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and test automation frameworks (Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development with Cucumber)

  • Familiarity with UX/UI design methodology

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
