“Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for ensuring testing strategies, plans and deliverables are executed for all applications and programmes of work within their domain. Work includes:

• Designing and conducting testing procedures and frameworks to verify software and other technical products to ensure expected functional performance •Investigating instances where software and technical products do not perform as expected
• Designing and conducting quality assurance practises to support business development activities Driving the adoption of recognised best practice and policy and contributes to the ongoing improvement of methodologies and assets for the business
• Working with their counterparts across the business to raise the standard of QA across the bank
• Recording of defects and the collation of metrics and KPI information for reporting purposes
• Testing disciplines include: Performance Testing, Test Automation, Test Processes, Testing Products “

Your key responsibilities

• We are looking for a highly skilled test automation engineer to design automation tests.
• Test automation engineers' duties include designing automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems. You should also be committed to developing skills to provide up-to-date solutions. Proficiency in programming language Java, Selenium with API testing.
• Creating an automation test plan and getting approval
• Identifying and selecting the automation test cases
• Designing and developing test automation scripts.
• Configuring Selenium Test Environment (STE) to set it up
• Selenium Environment Setup with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
• Should be able to design the automation framework
• Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running the test cases
• Collating and monitoring the defect management process
• Managing the changes and executing regression tests
• Coming up with exact solutions for problems related to object identity and error handling
• Interacting with customers/clients to solve the various issues they face and updating on the situation
• Experience in Agile practices (SCRUM).
• Close Coordination & Collaboration with Internal Stakeholder/ External Stakeholders and Vendors
• Strong Logical Aptitude to understand the overall Application and root out the gaps wherein required
• Good Questioning skills to understand the Root Cause of the request

Your skills and experience

Desired experience

• Overall IT experience of 10+ years
• 5+ years' experience in UI Automation Testing, API testing with Java
• Sound knowledge of below technical stack (must or equivalent):Java(must), Selenium, Gradle/Maven, API testing (Rest Assured/JMeter/Postman)
  CI/CD using Jenkins, Teamcity
• Hands-on experience working on ALM, Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket
• Good experience in designing and implementation of testing frameworks(automation)
• Building the capability of test results insights, reporting
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders
• Passion about sharing knowledge and best practice
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
• Needs to be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal / good negotiations skills are required.

Education | Certification (Recommended):

• Any Graduate, Postgraduate from an accredited college or university
• Software Technology tools (Java, Selenium, API testing, CI/CD Teamcity/Jenkins, Test Management - ALM, Defect Management- JIRA, Confluence)
• Systems Development Lifecycle

Skills Required:

• Ability to express technical concepts in language accessible to a non-technical audience.
• Experienced in Automation Testing using Selenium, Java and API testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Teamcity
• Self-motivated, thrives in the ambiguity that comes with a lean and agile team.
• Good documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders and functions.
• Able to work and co-ordinate with product vendors.
