You will work with a team of support and software engineers located in three different locations worldwide, to provide stellar support on issues related to the ETL loads, improve the existing solutions and develop new ones, day by day. You will occasionally be asked to provide assistance outside of regular office hours, to deploy solutions or provide support in case of emergencies, according to a planned rotation and in collaboration with the other team members.
Due to our role as integrators of multiple systems, you will need to support our Service Owners and Product Managers in coordinating with different teams in IT Services, leading them towards resolving the issues and designing new solutions thanks to your technical expertise, as well as your knowledge of the solution and what it means to our Business Units.
You are an ETL aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of REST API, MQ and SFTP as typical sources and destinations of the ETL process, and operating with Linux scripts, services and filesystems. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly important.
Must have:
- 7+ years of working experience with IBM DataStage, with multiple types of sources and destination
- 5+ years of experience in basic administration of a Linux server
- 5+ years of experience in scripting in at least one of the following: Bash, Perl, Python
- 3+ years of experience with data modelling of SQL databases such as Teradata, Snowflake or Informix
Good to have:
- Working experience with IBM QualityStage
- Good knowledge of stored procedures in Snowflake, Teradata and/or MSSQL
- Good knowledge of Matillion, Azure Data Factory or Airflow
- Foundational knowledge of Kafka and/or MQ, REST API, SFTP
