Job Responsibilities
- Design and execute AFR product and capacity management activities
- Lead and drive rate and capacity negotiations with airlines and co-loaders.
- Drive freight costs down through strategic use of airline and co-loader resources, playing a key role in BSA negotiations.
- Lead the operation team and ensure providing allocation and reservations of freight on planned linehaul and flights required for hub and operations performance
- Guide regions/countries on product and capacity management
- Ensure the development and implementation of products for various air freight customers and products including perishables, pharmaceutical, aviation, etc.
- Lead the development of air freight carrier management and product and capacity management plans and budgets, and the achievement of productivity targets
- Ensure, that customer and airline requirements and service, cost and budgetary guidelines are met
- Direct the development and maintenance of databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
- Build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines
- Ensure the preparation of carrier performance reports and reviews
- Periodically review processes and systems to enhance service quality and alignment with company's direction and long-term goals
- Scan alternatives to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive products and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
- Study issues, determine opportunities and introduce best practices for AFR product and capacity management focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
- Oversee recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
- Analyze complex issues, benchmark, identify opportunities and introduce best practices for AFR product and capacity management focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
- Execute global procurement strategy
- Ensure adherence to global decisions
Job Requirements
- Form 7 or above or qualification equivalent to Qualifications Framework (QF)
- More than 8 years working experience in logistics operations
- Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in PC operations, e.g. MS Excel & Outlook
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Experience in supply chain, logistics field
- Immediate available is an advantage
