Position: First Line Manager
Location: Coventry
Grade: RCS. N
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 (including weekends). Rotational Shifts - 06:30-14:30 and 14:30-22:30
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
✅WHAT YOU'LL DO
- To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
- To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
- Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), performance reviews, absence management and development and/or succession planning as appropriate
- Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards and informal / formal conversations
- Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Report and investigate incidents within the work place and respond to or escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
- Prepare, make and document the shift handover with your colleague of next shift and report to direct manager the main points identified during your working day and shift to your direct manager
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Previous Team Management experience within a First Line Manager/Team Manager role, is essential
- Previous experience within the Ecommerce sector/operation is essential
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and motivation skills
- Knowledge of Manhattan Warehouse Management Systems is desirable
- Good balance of Results and respect approach
- Able to deliver results under stress and within a pressured environment
- Strong attention to detail
- IT literate (Microsoft packages and WMS systems)
