The Sr. BIT Program Manager provides strategic and execution leadership for complex IT programs, delivering multiple interdependent projects in parallel across the U.S. portfolio. This role owns end‑to‑end program delivery, including roadmap planning, stakeholder communications, vendor management, requirements definition, solution design, testing, change management, and transition to production support. Operating across Agile and Waterfall methodologies, the Senior IT Program Manager partners with business, technical, global, regional, and country teams to drive outcomes, manage risk, optimize processes, and deliver measurable improvements to operational efficiency and customer experience.
Key Accountabilities:
- to provide product roadmap, change management, program status/updates and communications to all program stakeholders.
- Deliver multiple large programs simultaneously using Waterfall or Agile program management methodologies.
- Manage programs requiring coordination and communication with customers, Global, Region and Country groups.
- Create business justification presentations to stakeholders and management.
- Provide impact assessment, collaborate on technical design and solutions with relevant parties, manage build/acceptance test stages from initiation to deployment/transition to support.
- Manage internal and external vendors.
- Capture and document accurate business & system requirements for sign off.
- Document stakeholder review feedback on deliverables & action the comments through closure
- Collect and analyzes systems and operational data to provide recommendations to improve efficiency, employee, and/or customer experience.
- Conduct business process flow analysis & data specifications mapping feedback review between DHL stakeholders and vendors.
- Document user acceptance test steps & assist with test data creation to ensure the business use cases & criteria are accounted for in testing.
- Execute initial end to end system integration test cases prior to/along with execution of User Acceptance Test
- Track & capture evidence details of functionalities tested passed/defects raised with clear steps to replicate the issue through closure of fixes.
- Assist to review updated job aids needed
- Track impacted configuration items for proper tracking/creation of release to production checklist for change management & configuration management

Operates with considerable latitude. May develop solutions to non-routine issues, without appreciable guidance from others. Reach decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
Impact:
May direct major projects or programs with significant business impact within department, area, and business unit. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve objectives would result in significant program delays and sizeable expenditure of resources to rectify.
Knowledge:
Possesses extensive knowledge in US DHL Express Import, Export, Transit clearance product/process & shipment movement knowledge.
People Management:
May lead others system analysis, test executions, requirement review in a project matrix in collaboration with internal/external project team members.
Problem Complexity:
Requires creative and innovative thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-department problems.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of DHL Express Global & local US application portfolio across shipment movement, import export clearance, and station facilities handling.
- Proven program management experience & ability to lead and drive large complex IT programs across different business groups of stakeholders is a must.
- Strong portfolio management skills covering stakeholder interviews of requirements through build, test, deployment, support and tracking of benefits realization.
- Strong analytical skills to perform business process analysis, impact assessment, and data analysis to drive solution design, trade-off analysis and implementation planning in a must.
- Clear and concise stakeholder & executive level communication.
- Proactive risks and issues management to avoid business impacts.
- Internal and external vendor management skills.
- BS/BA in related discipline and 8-10 years of experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 8-10 years’ experience in related field. Professional certification required in some areas.
