Key Tasks

• Ensures compliance with import/export regulations, duties, and tariffs.

• Embraces challenges by taking responsibility for overall efficient and effective Service Center operations regarding pick-up and delivery personnel and services.

• Acknowledges all materials are picked up and delivered to/from all area accounts in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while adhering to DHL guidelines, government regulations, and customer expectation.

• Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the department.

• Assists with the development of operational plans and budgets based on goals and objectives.

• Prepares various productivity and efficiency reports.

• Ensures that vehicular fleet is maintained mechanically and administratively.

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Country Manager

• Facilitate internal training

• Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.

• Oversees the work of staff while taking the responsibility of hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff.

• Knowledge of the rules, regulations and procedures involved in the clearance and delivery of shipments would be a distinct advantage

• Ability to work under pressure

• Typically requires Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts or 3-5 years’ experience in related field / influential role

• A valid General Driver’s License

• An acceptable police record

• Will be required to become Dangerous Good Cat 6 Certified

• Professional certification may be required

• Must be able to lift up seventy (70) lbs occasionally

• Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs frequently
