Are you an organised, delivery-focused individual looking to build a career in project management within a complex operational environment? This role offers hands‑on exposure to project delivery, system-enabled change, and continuous improvement across our New Zealand operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of Operations Excellence initiatives and system-enabled projects across New Zealand sites
• Plan and deliver small, low‑to‑medium complexity projects end‑to‑end, including scope definition, scheduling, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting
• Support Project Managers on larger initiatives by maintaining project plans, tracking actions, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Apply structured project governance using DHL’s DePICT project management framework
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities including coordination of users, testing schedules, defect tracking, and reporting
• Prepare project documentation, status reports, and updates tailored to different stakeholder groups
• Support change and transition activities to ensure smooth handover from project to business-as-usual operations
• Work closely with operational teams, IT, vendors, and site stakeholders to support successful outcomes

Requirements

• 2–4 years’ experience in a project coordination, junior project delivery, or operations-based role
• Demonstrated experience coordinating or delivering small projects or work packages
• Exposure to system-enabled change, operational improvement, or logistics environments
• Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• A structured, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to develop and build relationships with people from all walks of life
