Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities 1. HSE Strategy and Governance • Lead transport HSE strategy, policies, procedures, and continuous improvement aligned with legal, customer, and company standards. 2. Transport Safety Management • Manage transport risks, safe systems of work, journey controls, vehicle inspections, driver behavior, route safety, fatigue, speed, and contractor safety. 3. Incident Management and Investigation • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, trend reviews, and management reporting to prevent recurrence. 4. Compliance and Audit • Ensure regulatory, customer, and internal compliance through audits, inspections, safety observations, registers, permits, certifications, and action tracking. 5. Driver and Contractor Safety Management • Manage driver and contractor safety through onboarding, training, licensing, fitness, work-hour monitoring, performance reviews, audits, and corrective actions. 6. Training, Awareness, and Safety Culture • Deliver transport HSE training, toolbox talks, safety campaigns, emergency drills, coaching, and capability-building programs. 7. Environmental Management • Manage environmental compliance for emissions, fuel handling, waste, spills, pollution prevention, fuel efficiency, route optimization, and reporting. 8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting • Track HSE KPIs, dashboards, audits, training, incidents, near misses, unsafe behaviors, corrective actions, and improvement plans. 9. Emergency Preparedness and Response • Maintain emergency plans for road incidents, spills, fire, breakdowns, drills, crisis response, and business continuity. 10. Stakeholder Management • Partner with Operations, Fleet, HR, Security, Quality, Engineering, customers, regulators, vendors, and leadership on HSE performance and compliance.Requirements
Experience Requirements • Minimum 5–8 years of HSE experience, with at least 3–5 years in transport, fleet, logistics, or supply chain operations • Proven experience in managing HSE programs in transport or distribution environments • Experience in incident investigation, contractor management, regulatory compliance, and audit management • Background in working with multi-site operations, transport vendors, and high-volume fleet environments is preferredThis job is no longer accepting applications
