Job Purpose:

Define and execute the business development strategy for the Contract Logistics unit within the Automotive sector, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth. This includes identifying new opportunities, expanding key OEM and Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier accounts, and designing end-to-end logistics solutions aligned with lean manufacturing, JIT/JIS delivery, and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Contract Logistics commercial strategy focused on Automotive clients (OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers).
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within automotive and related manufacturing sectors.
  • Lead complex tender processes (RFPs/RFQs), including solution design (JIT/JIS), pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, quality, finance, IT) to build efficient and competitive value propositions.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key automotive clients and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, production cycles, and customer demand to anticipate business opportunities.
  • Ensure achievement of commercial targets: revenue, margin, pipeline, and conversion rate.
  • Oversee successful transition and ramp-up of new operations, ensuring continuity in supply chains and line feeding.
  • Drive innovation in logistics solutions (automation, sequencing, milk-run routes, digitalization, e-commerce aftermarket).
  • Lead and develop business development and consultative sales teams.
  • Prepare executive reports and monitor KPIs focused on service levels, delivery performance, and cost optimization.

Who we are looking for:

  • +5 years of experience in Contract Logistics, Supply Chain, or 3PL environments within Automotive or high-volume manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience with Automotive clients (OEMs, suppliers) highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years in leadership roles within Business Development, Sales, or Operations.
  • Strong experience managing key accounts and closing complex, high-value projects.
  • Expertise in end-to-end logistics solution design (inbound, warehousing, line feeding, outbound).
  • Knowledge of JIT/JIS, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in pricing, financial modeling, and business case development.
  • Experience in B2B commercial processes (tenders, negotiations).
  • Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of WMS, TMS, automation, and logistics technologies.
  • Advanced English.
  • Strategic leadership with strong business and operational acumen.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication and executive presentation skills.
