We are looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) who will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and shaping our success in the parcel market.
This is a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to build the market presence from scratch and make a real strategic impact in the region.
You will report directly to the Head of Sales Eastern Europe, highlighting the seniority and strategic importance of this position.
What You’ll Do
  • Drive new customer acquisition with a strong focus on parcel business
  • Build and develop a high-quality customer portfolio across Romania and Bulgaria
  • Analyze customer potential (share of wallet) and uncover new opportunities
  • Conduct market and white spot analysis across Eastern Europe
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share
  • Build and maintain long-term key account relationships
  • Conduct regular on-site customer visits
  • Represent DHL at trade fairs, industry events, and webinars
  • Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, IT, and global business units
  • Support marketing in customer events and campaigns
  • Maintain accurate sales documentation in Salesforce
  • Monitor market trends and continuously optimize your sales approach
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts in line with DHL guidelines
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of Key Account Management experience in a commercial environment
  • Proven track record in new business acquisition
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of ownership
  • High level of self-motivation, structured working style and the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel extensively, as you will be the sole representative in your region
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce CRM
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong market awareness and ability to analyze competitors
  • Openness to and experience with AI tools in daily work, reflecting a forward-thinking and innovative mindset
  • Fluent in Romanian and English
