We are looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) who will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and shaping our success in the parcel market.
This is a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to build the market presence from scratch and make a real strategic impact in the region.
You will report directly to the Head of Sales Eastern Europe, highlighting the seniority and strategic importance of this position.
What You’ll Do
- Drive new customer acquisition with a strong focus on parcel business
- Build and develop a high-quality customer portfolio across Romania and Bulgaria
- Analyze customer potential (share of wallet) and uncover new opportunities
- Conduct market and white spot analysis across Eastern Europe
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share
- Build and maintain long-term key account relationships
- Conduct regular on-site customer visits
- Represent DHL at trade fairs, industry events, and webinars
- Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, IT, and global business units
- Support marketing in customer events and campaigns
- Maintain accurate sales documentation in Salesforce
- Monitor market trends and continuously optimize your sales approach
- Prepare and negotiate contracts in line with DHL guidelines
What You Bring
- 5+ years of Key Account Management experience in a commercial environment
- Proven track record in new business acquisition
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of ownership
- High level of self-motivation, structured working style and the ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel extensively, as you will be the sole representative in your region
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Solid knowledge of Salesforce CRM
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong market awareness and ability to analyze competitors
- Openness to and experience with AI tools in daily work, reflecting a forward-thinking and innovative mindset
- Fluent in Romanian and English
