DHL Express is looking for an experienced Cluster Claims Manager to lead our Central & Eastern Europe Claims organization. Based in Prague, you'll manage a multicultural team across four countries while partnering with multiple DHL business units in 16 CEE markets.
This is a strategic leadership role where you'll combine operational excellence, stakeholder management, risk expertise and people leadership to continuously improve our claims organization and safeguard the business.
What you'll be doing?
- Lead and develop an international team of 20 Claims Specialists, including 3 Team Managers, located across six sites in four countries.
- Translate regional strategy into local execution and drive the Claims function across the CEE region.
- Ensure efficient, standardized and high-quality claims processes across multiple DHL business units.
- Build trusted relationships with business leaders, customers, insurers and external partners.
- Drive continuous improvement, process optimization and cross-border collaboration.
- Monitor performance through KPIs, management reporting and regular business reviews.
- Manage complex transportation and warehousing claims while minimizing financial exposure and maximizing recoveries.
- Lead regional projects focused on process standardization, performance improvement and digital transformation.
What we're looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Law or a related field.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in claims, insurance, risk management or logistics.
- Proven experience leading international teams in a matrix organization.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical, financial and commercial acumen.
- Experience driving change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Business fluent English and fluency in Czech, Slovak or Polish.
