About the role
DHL is hiring a Payroll Specialist to join its Costa Rica team. In this role, you will be an integral member of the HR Services team, providing support to Global Business Services through payroll, data management, and time & attendance activities across LATAM countries. Additional tasks and accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Main responsibilities
- Mentor and provide task resolution support to team members.
- Respond accurately and professionally to questions and concerns from associates, customers, and stakeholders through multiple channels in a timely manner.
- Act as the initial escalation point for payroll-related processes, escalating issues when necessary and executing approved corrections.
- Provide training and coaching sessions to team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and assign tickets through our ticketing tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for HR and Payroll processes.
- Prepares payroll metrics to be presented at monthly, quarterly, and annual senior leadership meetings.
- Participate in the creation of new queries and reports as needed.
- Prepare and deliver workshops to users on system requirements, tools, and procedures.
- Perform other duties and work on special projects as assigned.
- Accurately and efficiently enter payroll data into the system.

Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in similar roles in multinational companies.
- English proficiency at a minimum B1 level required.
- Costa Rica payroll and HR experience required; experience supporting other LATAM countries is highly desirable.
- Considerable knowledge of employee lifecycle processes.
- Intermediate to Advanced experience with MS Excel, data analysis & reporting.
- Knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and AI-driven solutions is preferred.
