We are looking for Business Project Manager- Customs Transformaiton based in Singapore.
The Global Network Operations Programs Group (GNOP) executes FOCUS by identifying and managing programs of change that enable Global Network Operations to achieve standardized processes, service excellence, optimal efficiency and lowest operating cost. GNOP support of the full end-to-end scope of Global Network Operations, is constantly aligned with Global Network Operations' priorities and aligns with the other DHL Express functions to deliver improvements that are aligned on purpose, objectives and support the business needs. On behalf of the Global Network Operations group, we work closely with the various Business and IT teams, driving change of both a business operations process and IT solution nature.
The role of the GNOP Project Manager is to ensure a sound understanding of various project requirements and associated effects of changes to Global Network Operations that support the business in achieving the goals and objectives set. Manage projects in terms of scope, costs, resources, and overall deliver to objectives and goals. Take strong ownership of a specific business process areas and the development road map to achieve both tactical and strategic objectives. The role combines project/product management skills with subject matter expertise to translate quickly developing business demands into the right IT and business solutions and/or process and must manage all their relevant projects/product ensuring that any changes to Global SOP process/Standards and EGAP systems are documented and approved. Work with and guide the regional and country deployment teams to ensure rapid deployment and realization of business benefits derived from the new capabilities and processes.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- Project Management: Responsible for overall business project management ensuring task assignments are clear and all objectives met: Project governance, stakeholder management, organization, plans, risks, Issues and reporting/communicating progress, and where needed contingency plans.
- Product Management: You will in your work be (become) a subject matter expert on a specific (or group of applications/products) and manage a specific project of those same products.
- Direct (and indirect) team management: With guidance, assemble and manage the indirect/direct team (remote where applicable) and have active interest in the wider Global Programs and Ops community.
- Conduct Regional and Facility Network Operations (onsite) Reviews as needed to ensure full operations alignment, support requirements definition (workshops) and beta deployments – as the project demands.
- Business analysis, process review and requirements definition: Within the scope of the project, drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through action, in collaboration with the product owner and domain leadership. Ensure Global SOP is aligned with changes and updated.
- User group management and communication: Functional input, changes management, prioritization, project participation (testing) and progress transparency via regular reporting
- Input to Roadmaps, Portfolio Program Management & Prioritization: Understand the roadmap and wider programs to be able to provide concise feedback to aid implementation.
- Defining the Plan, Project Management & Prioritization: Define, represent and communicate project strategy/plan to all stakeholders. Implement harmonized project management process acting on a clear roadmap of deliverables, change and improvement, whilst delivering to plans, domain strategy and priorities.
- Software Development cycle participation: From idea/concept to launch of the capabilities across the scope of the project. Business case, Project Brief/PID, Business project management, Process, Requirements, Testing and Acceptance to Training and Deployment preparation.
- Deployment preparation and support: Ensure relevant training materials are available, conduct beta/pilots, preparing regions/country to deploy, support deployment with SMEs
- Post project implementation and follow-up: Conduct post project reviews and learning, functional reviews, ensure correct application/usage of process/software, initiate corrective measures.
- Support contingency operations for process and EGAP relevant issues: Support any contingency (or similar) analysis and actions with end-to-end knowledge and corrective measures.
- Operate in a customer focused, multi-national, multi-cultural environment - Internal and External
- Possess a good understanding of the group’s end to end operational processes along with knowledge of the domain/application being covered, Global SOP processes and standards and strategic challenges to manage the scope of the projects linked with an allocated program and enable achievement of the program objectives through specific projects.
- Successful management and leadership of virtual project teams and multiple project stakeholders involved in the Project.
- Manage “deployment” activities, where specified or in scope, in order to ensure the capture of Business Benefits. Noted that core deployment phases and tasks are performed by the regions/countries.
- Provide on-going support to Global domains and Regional leads on the project
- Develop user training material and deliver training programs to regions and countries as required.
- Success collaboration, interface and interaction with stakeholders Globally
- Professional Project Management certification preferred. (eg PRINCE2)
- Preference for Business Degree OR equivalent experience.
- Preferred certification or experience in requirements analysis/gathering, process definition and related work.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 2-3 years’ project/program management experience
- Exposure to Business process, analysis and testing
- Experience in managing process and requirements development
- As a minimum experience across country and regional level with Global Experience preferred.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
