Shape the future of operations through automation and robotics
Digitalization is transforming our industry at an unprecedented pace. From creating better experiences for our customers and employees to making operations more efficient, smarter technologies are opening up new opportunities across DHL Group.
The Center of Excellence (CoE) for Automation of Operations is at the heart of this transformation. Based within Corporate Development at DHL Group Headquarters, our team works globally with the divisions to identify, test and scale innovative, cost-efficient robotic and computer vision technologies that can make our operations smarter, safer and more efficient.
We explore emerging technologies, turn promising ideas into practical solutions and support their successful integration into our operations. In doing so, we work closely with colleagues across the Group, our divisions and Corporate Procurement to move innovations from initial concepts to scalable solutions.
Our work is closely aligned with the strategic priorities of the divisions through the Automation & Robotics Group, an advisory board and community platform for all stakeholders.
Your opportunity to shape what’s next
As part of the CoE Automation of Operations, you will work at the intersection of technology, innovation and real-world operations. You’ll have the opportunity to explore technologies that are still emerging today and help determine how they can create value for DHL Group tomorrow.
Our key areas of technological expertise include:
- Automated unloading – developing solutions to automate and optimize the unloading of shipments and goods.
- Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) – exploring and scaling intelligent robots that can move goods efficiently through our operations.
- Robotic arm solutions – testing and integrating robotic systems for handling, sorting and other operational processes.
- Computer Vision – using advanced vision technologies to enable smarter, more automated processes and decision-making.
- Humanoid robotics – evaluating and testing emerging humanoid robotic technologies and exploring their potential applications within our operations.
From innovation to impact
Our ambition goes beyond simply testing new technologies. We identify solutions with real potential, validate them in operational environments and help scale successful concepts across divisions and locations.
You’ll collaborate with experts and decision-makers across DHL Group and work on technologies that have the potential to shape the future of logistics.
