OPERATIONS AGENT
About the Role
DHL Express Nepal is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Agent to support our Service Centre operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing network and administrative duties related to inbound and outbound shipment processing, customs support, shipment monitoring, documentation management, and operational coordination to ensure service excellence and on-time delivery.
This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with DHL operational standards, security requirements, and customer service commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Shipment Processing
- Process export shipments in accordance with DHL operational procedures and checkpoints.
- Monitor shipments to prevent restricted and prohibited items from entering the DHL network.
- Maintain bagging guidelines as per destination hub requirements.
- Image and maintain supporting shipment documentation.
- Prepare and allocate FD and TP shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor DPSS shipments and coordinate with stakeholders for additional documentation requirements.
- Update operational systems including CALMS and UAS for shipment recovery, uplift status, and flight movements.
- Ensure right-day delivery and right-flight uplift performance.
Customs & Clearance Support
- Support outbound clearance activities, including documentation preparation, manifest processing, customs scanning, and clearance verification.
- Assist inbound clearance processes, including delivery order preparation, IAS billing, customs scanning, and shipment accuracy checks.
- Handle console and formal shipment billing when required.
Network & Administration
- Process inbound shipments upon arrival and prepare shipments for delivery.
- Process outbound material according to DHL standards and procedures.
- Capture and update shipment information accurately within the DHL network.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Monitor operational equipment and take corrective action when necessary.
- Support rotational activities within Operations and develop knowledge across multiple functions.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure service standards and timelines are met.
- Provide operational and administrative support to DHL Service Centres.
- Work collaboratively with Operations team members to achieve daily objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree completed or currently pursuing Bachelor's studies preferred
- Good computer knowledge is essential
Experience
- Experience in DHL operations or logistics/courier operations will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of DHL network control activities and operational procedures is preferred.
