About the team

Our Software Development chapter represents all experts who deliver essential software development and engineering capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to keep E.ON’s code base modern, secure, and excellent. You will be part of a Product-Team within Network Security, that is working on the development of a tool for harmonized policy management. The tool will be the central point for every network related policy request.

• Responsibility for the entire software development lifecycle, including design phase, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Understand user requirements and create system architectures
• Coding, bug fixing and ensuring high-quality, well-tested code
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, and focusing on quality, scalability, and performance
• Paying attention to emerging technologies to build robust and user-centric solutions, and to learn and improve coding skills
• Support the continuous improvement and roadmap of the product, and work closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers

authentic & ambitious - Your profile

• Successfully completed university degree in IT, Computer Science or similar, as well as multiple years of experience as Software Engineer (f/m/d)
• Experience maintaining software using Spring Boot, Spring JPA (Kotlin), Angular 16 & JointJS (Typescript)
• Skills in database design and management (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and microservices architecture
• Understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
