The Team – your impact
The chapter Technology & Engineering - Platform Engineering represents all experts who deliver DevOps capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s DevOps tech stack and deliver a high level of cloud automation.
You are part of a product team that is building a cloud-native internal engineering platform and DevOps/GitOps pattern, which enables cloud-native software engineering across different cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and platforms.
Your Role – meaningful & rewarding
- Building and maintaining a multi-cloud internal engineering platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) using Crossplane and Kubernetes
- Managing cloud resources and implementing reactive systems with robust observability and monitoring
- Delivering reusable, immutable infrastructure and application components
- Continuously enhancing the engineering platform while consulting with relevant teams
- Development and maintainance of high-quality Golang code in a Kubernetes ecosystem
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams for smooth integration of cloud services
- Utilizing Crossplane for infrastructure provisioning, management, and custom provider implementations
Your Profile – authentic & open-minded
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Several years of professional experience in Golang development
- Extensive knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem, including experience with writing Kubernetes operators; familiarity with Crossplane is a plus
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools like ArgoCD
- In-depth knowledge of hyperscaler platforms, preferably Azure or AWS
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
