E.ON UK Network Assets Limited is a new E.ON business that will operate as a licensed (IDNO) Independent Distribution Network Operator. The business will be regulated by OFGEM and other industry standards. The business has ambitions to secure a sizable market share and be a market leader in the competition in connections market space.
Here's what you will be doing
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new team and in this role you will play an integral part in the establishment and operation of the IDNO business.
You will join the project team tasked with developing the business and contribute to setting up the business and leading in its growth ambitions.
Main Responsibilities of the role
- Act as the Networks Senior Authorised Person and Assessing Officer.
- Manage all operational network activities up to 33kV.
- Managing all network access and authorisations.
- Lead in the development of the businesses Distribution Safety Rules and standard operating procedures / codes of practice.
- Deliver the businesses asset management and inspection regime on time and on budget.
- Complete quality assurance checks of works completed and rectify any quality issues identified.
- Ensure safety management throughout all responsibilities.
- Responsibility for delivery of all construction, maintenance and fault works to time, cost and quality.
- Support and provide operational support to field staff.
- Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the safe delivery of projects work.
- Liaise with and manage relationships with our customers to meet their expectations wherever possible.
- Complete out of hours safety/emergency response (Standby).
- Management/Supervision of contractors, carrying out high and low voltage maintenance activities.
What we need from you
- Senior Authorised Person as defined by the Distribution Safety Rules – Preferable 33kV.
- Understanding of electricity distribution network design and operation from 400V to 33kV.
- Operational knowledge of electrical distribution equipment.
- Project Management Experience.
- Contractor Management Experience.
- Educated to a minimum HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Hold full driving licence.
- Work with minimum supervision and manage and prioritise a varied work load.
- Communicate at all levels.
- Work as part of a small team committed to the delivery of a high profile project. Manages and integrates well in a team and promotes good team work.
- Use Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, MS Project and other bespoke software packages.
- An understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation, CDM standards and focussed on safe working.
- Initiate acts in the interest of the company to develop the business to agreed objectives.
It would be great if you have
- Senior Authorised Person up to 132kV.
- Understanding of electricity distribution network design and operation up to 132kV.
