RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for the continuous improvement, reliability, technical care and condition of the production units in cooperation with the Site Manager and Production Superintendent and other company service providers.
Responsible that the production and supporting units meet compliance with regulatory and Evonik requirements in the area of Process Safety Management, Mechanical Integrity and Environmental Protection.
Assures the defined technical availability of the production plants according to the production requirements, with continuous technical improvements, and in conformance to changing requirements in respect to economics, safety and care for the environment.
Responsible for the planning, managing and coaching the plant engineering, providing them with leadership, guidance and expertise and supporting their development plan. This includes reliability activities, technical changes, project management and technical documentation.
Responsible for the repair and maintenance budget and for the capital investment budget for the Silbond® plant.
Accountable for the implementation of capital projects (up to $10Mio) in cooperation with internal and external engineering groups.
Resource for the technical support for multiple production plants.
Optimize preventive/predictive activities by frequently reviewing/evaluating the inspection intervals.
Select, develop, manage and motivate own or contracted personnel in a team setting, while maintaining conformity to all company policies and procedures to maintain and enhance high quality level of manufacturing results for the site.
Provides the Silbond® plant with process, reliability and project expertise, which combines process engineering with in-depth knowledge of the plant requirements.
Ensures continuous improvement of reliability, availability and maintainability of multiple production units and support systems (i.e. waste water treatment, utilities, etc.)Provides plant specific technical expertise on the application of new process developments, on equipment innovations and on state-of-the-art reliability and project techniques, insuring regulatory compliance of the technical installations, maintenance practices and the technical documentation
REQUIREMENTS
- BS / master’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing environment.
Broad based skills in engineering, project management and maintenance.
Planning and organizing skills · Extensive supervisory / managing experience.
Theoretical technical knowledge combined with analytical thinking and practical experience to effectively lead and manage the maintenance, project management, and process improvement functions of the Silbond® plant.
Effective communicator in verbal and written media. · Language skills would be a plus.
Computer skills are required regarding spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and engineering related software, including project scheduling.
SAP skills are required to effectively manage the maintenance – and project cost.
Ability to work well in a team environment and with personnel at all levels of the organization
