What your challenges are
- Among your most important tasks is providing on-going daily support, including fulfilling support requests and service requests for Evonik’s Transportation Management solutions across the company to end users in a timely, effective and efficient manner. Evonik’s Transportation Management solutions include SAP Logistic Execution–Transportation (LE-TRA), SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management, Leogistics Yard Management and the interfaces between those systems.
- You bring your expertise/strengths in providing ad hoc training to end-users on Evonik best practice Transportation Management solutions. For example, providing guidance on transaction execution.
- Troubleshooting and resolving Transportation Management incidents will also be among your tasks.
- You are responsible for monitoring open support requests, service requests and incidents to ensure that internal KPIs for maximum processing time are met. Proactively determining how open tickets which could not be directly solved should be handled and who to contact to enable a satisfactory resolution.
- You are responsible for providing run support of Transportation Management solutions including the continuous monitoring of Transportation Management business processes and the troubleshooting and resolution of detected issues and regular archiving of Transportation Management data to improve the system performance and reduce the cost to run our SAP systems.
- As an IT expert, you identify areas with high support demand and propose ideas for improvement.
- As a Transportation Management expert, you review the status of existing knowledge articles for the relevant process. Follows-up with authors/reviewers as needed in cases where target dates are missed. Proposes additional ideas for knowledge articles and assigns authors, reviewers and target dates. Publicizes the publication of new knowledge articles.
- You will participate in transportation related projects, primarily to stay current on the new and changed functionality being brought into the system to be prepared to provide support during hypercare and post go-live, as well as for career development.
- As part of an international/agile team you identify areas where there is a need for knowledge transfer workshops, to enable the team to support existing or new processes and solutions. Help organize and schedule the workshops.
- You bring your expertise/strengths by using the problem management process, assist with identifying the root cause of problems and monitoring the progress of the resolution of such problems.
What we are looking for
- You have already gained experience and have a solid understanding of business processes of Transportation Management including transportation planning, transportation execution, route determination, freight rating, freight accrual, freight settlement and yard management.
- You have a good knowledge on Transportation Management integration with Sales and Distribution, picking in Inventory Management & Warehouse Management.
- You have a good knowledge of Transportation Management master data like customer master, material master, vendor master).
- You already have a minimum of five years´ experience supporting Transportation Management IT solutions, like SAP Logistic Execution–Transportation (LE-TRA), SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management, Leogistics Yard Management, or comparable others.
- Full cycle IT solution implementation experience sets you apart from others.
- Certified SAP Professional and working experience in SAP S4/HANA 2021 environment is a plus.
- You have completed a university degree, preferably in the field of IT, business, engineering or a subject related to Transportation Management.
- You have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to understand complex situations.
- You are a team player, meticulous, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- You enjoy working with a diverse international team with colleagues in Germany, the United States, Costa Rica and Malaysia.
- Service oriented and ability to travel for SAP know how transfer.
- You have good communication skills both verbal and written in English.
- Able to effectively communicate across multiple teams with different cultural backgrounds and levels of technical experience.
- Proficiency in German is desired.
