Full Stack Software Developer

Permanent position

Main Scope of Role:

The role covers the development and maintenance of web applications and web services for internal and external Evotec customers.

Key Responsibilities or Core Accountabilities:

• Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data/to answer to a need in a way that is geared towards the needs of Scientists or R&D IT colleagues.
• Collaborate with other developers, project managers, product owners and business analysts to identify business requirements and design solutions accordingly
• Design, implement, and improve software applications
• Ensuring high data quality, security and confidentiality
• Implement unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests
• Write technical documentation in accordance with the IT quality standards

Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:

• At least 3 years experience on Python
• At least 1 year experience on FastAPI
• Experience on Docker and DevOps practices
• Experience on ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana
• Proficiency and experience on git or any other code versioning solution
• Strong knowledge of Rest APIs conventions
• Strong interest in software craftmanship: test driven development, continuous integration, refactoring, code reviews
• Driven by high standards on code quality and following best practices
• Working in an agile way would be appreciated.
• Knowledge and /or high interest in chemistry and/or Biology environment.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse team and organization.
• Pragmatism, ability to learn quickly, methodological rigor and autonomy.
• Fluent in French and English.
