The Product Designer has a key role in helping deliver this vision.
The Experience Design team at Foot Locker is a dynamic group of designers and researchers focused on curating high-quality, innovative, and authentic experiences that resonate with sneaker enthusiasts worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design industry-leading, innovative user experiences from conception to execution for high traffic, high visibility features that both solve for customer needs and drive the business forward.
- Independently partner with multi-disciplinary teams (product, marketing, customer research, merchandising, and engineering) to understand user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints, and translate them into intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Follow a user-centered, data-driven design process to conceptualize and iterate on design solutions, from sketches to wireframes to interactive prototypes.
- Contribute to strategic design decisions around the future direction of Foot Locker digital products.
- Work autonomously on design tasks, taking ownership of assigned projects from discovery to production.
- Set clear expectations and communicate plans, status updates, and design concepts consistently and effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Work with product leaders to drive measurable design decisions.
- Conduct internal QA to ensure delivery meets design specifications.
- Advocate for the user through both quantitative & qualitative data (customer feedback, user research, data & analytics)
- Adhere to design systems and brand guidelines to ensure a consistent look and feel throughout the product.
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers to continually raise the bar for quality.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of product design experience, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
- Strong portfolio that showcases several projects and your direct contributions.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to work across digital platforms including responsive web and native mobile.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of how to balance both user and business needs.
- Experience with interaction and visual design, including creating high-fidelity prototypes.
- Experience showcasing your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, high-fidelity prototypes, and consideration of the impact and scale of work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive in communicating and documenting project progress.
- Up to date with current design trends and technologies.
Benefits
The annual base salary range is $70000 - $100000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
