Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in the Launch Reservation product team within the Digital Engineering area, who will jump right into hands-on development. The Digital Engineering team is responsible for serving up critical on-demand data from disparate systems to all corners of the enterprise, across numerous verticals and channels. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex business problems by delivering simple, robust and maintainable solutions using continuous integration and continuous delivery practices while maintaining a passionate, customer-first ethos.

• Develop applications and data processes that meet scalability, high availability, disaster recovery and security requirements for mission critical applications
• Implement engineering standards and solutions to support applications and APIs that support the growing business needs
• Identify and analyze technical debt in current systems and processes to identify risks and inefficiencies and propose solutions to mitigate those risks
• Extend existing proprietary systems, stand up and maintain third-party platforms, write develop custom systems and applications, build integrations to applications/systems (both internal and external), and interface data stores and databases.
• Collaborate with other engineers/architects to iteratively develop, validate, and operate software at scale using agile techniques.
• Verify components at the unit and integration level using proven validation techniques

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Experience developing world class applications in an enterprise setting using Typescript, Node.js and MongoDB
• Deep understanding of service-oriented architecture, specifically microservices architecture, and REST API concepts
• Hands-on experience with development and deployment of cloud native serverless technology (preferably Azure)
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery using modern DevOps tools
• High-energy, self-motivated, results-oriented with a “get it done” attitude. Capable of working effectively in a team setting.
• Ability to handle changes in direction and work priorities with ease; is positive and level-headed under pressure; adaptable.
• Demonstrated passion for quality and innovation with a customer-first attitude.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or closely related field and 3+ years of related work experience.
• A pro-active and self-motivated approach to problem solving which includes curiosity and passion for customer experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format.

The annual base salary range is $80000-$105000 / yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
