The Director, Transformation is a crucial contributor in delivering the enterprise transformation agenda for the organization, translating strategic ambition into a focused portfolio that delivers measurable business value.
The Director, Transformation plays an active role shaping the Transformation Blueprint (operating model, capability roadmap, and innovation pipeline) with a focus on continuous improvement on all areas of the business, driving cross-functional decision-making at executive level.
This role is a central driver of the transformation agenda, setting clear outcomes and delivery standards while shaping strategic priorities in line with the business goals and enabling alignment, accountability and impact across the organization.
Responsibilities
Planning and development
- In collaboration with the Sr Director Strategy, design the transformation roadmap, translating strategic goals into a focused set initiatives, projects and programs that can drive profitability.
- Contribute to shaping the strategic initiatives portfolio, supporting value definition, risk assessment, and investment prioritization, in alignment with the Leadership.
- Help drive alignment of operating models and processes to the company’s mission, vision, and long‑term growth goals.
Programme delivery and pace-setting
- Lead PMO rhythms: steering committees, programme boards, weekly delivery reviews, and reporting.
- Identify risks early, remove blockers, and escalate with clear options and recommendations.
- Drive consistent delivery methods across teams (standards, templates, tooling, ways of working)
- Build and run the integrated roadmap, managing cross-programme dependencies and critical path.
- Establish clear outcomes, KPIs, and benefits tracking across initiatives.
Stakeholder management and alignment
- Act as a strategic partner to functional leaders to align priorities and drive execution, while maintaining strong alignment with global counterparts across geographies to share best practices, leverage insights, and ensure consistency.
- Translate strategy into executable plans and keep leaders aligned on trade-offs.
- Provide clear, insight-driven communications that support transparency, accountability, and shared understanding across all levels.
Change and benefits realisation
- Contribute to the change strategy by supporting adoption, readiness, and capability uplift across markets and functions.
- Oversee benefits realization, ensuring initiatives deliver and sustain their intended business impact.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, (MBA preferred).
- 8–10 years experience in project management within retail business transformation, including experience in senior or leadership‑level roles driving strategic change.
- Strong portfolio management capabilities: prioritization, dependency management, governance, and benefits tracking.
- Excellent stakeholder skills — confident working with senior functional leaders.
- A pragmatic delivery mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, able to impose structure quickly.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex information.
- Strong communication skills: crisp exec updates, clear narrative, and actionable reporting.
- Experience with both waterfall and agile delivery environments
