Foot Locker’s supply chain is the backbone of delivering a seamless experience to our customers across Europe—both in-store and online. Our network includes over 600 retail stores, a recently opened omni-channel warehouse in Haps, and a third-party logistics (3PL) facility in Corby, UK. Together, these hubs ensure timely fulfillment of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) orders and replenishment for Wholesale (WTS) channels.
The Haps facility represents a major step forward in our transformation toward omni-channel excellence. It is designed to integrate with our global system landscape and enable advanced automation and process optimization. As a Logistics Engineer, you will work in this state-of-the-art distribution center to drive further integration with the Vanderlande system and Manhattan Active WMS, ensuring smooth operational flows and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
The Logistics Engineer’s primary focus is to create analyses on the current operational structure for both the Vanderlande system and the Manhattan Active warehouse management system. You will identify bottlenecks in the current flows, design and calculate possible improvements, and implement lean process engineering principles. This role requires a continuous improvement mindset and collaboration with a skilled team of specialists to optimize omni-channel operations.
Qualifications
- Academic level in engineering or related discipline (Industrial Engineering or ‘Technische Bedrijfskunde’)
- Approximately one to three years of logistics or industrial engineering experience
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with ability to draw conclusions from data
- Hands-on project management skills and ability to drive improvements from concept to execution
- Collaborative mindset with no silo mentality and eagerness to learn and improve
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
