The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the SVP, Chief Operating Officer, North America serves as a strategic partner, integrator, and trusted advisor to the senior executive. This role drives alignment across leadership, manages key initiatives, and ensures the executive remains focused on the most critical priorities. Success in this role requires someone who is detail‑oriented, a strategic thinker, results‑driven, and able to operate with a high sense of urgency while maintaining an even‑tempered, calm presence during complexity and change. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, highly collaborative, open to new ideas, an effective decision‑maker, and capable of navigating ambiguity with clarity and confidence. Regular travel is required. This is intentionally designed as a 2–3 year developmental opportunity, preparing a high‑potential leader for broader enterprise roles. Someone with merchant expereince preferred.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment
- Partner closely with the SVP to define, refine, and communicate the overall vision, strategy, and annual priorities for the North America business.
- Drive alignment across cross‑functional leaders, ensuring strategic initiatives are clearly articulated, well understood, and consistently executed.
2. Executive Support & Advisory
- Act as a liaison between the COO's office, direct reports, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Communicate project requirements, gather and interpret status updates, identify next steps, and proactively resolve issues.
- Escalate risks and barriers as appropriate, ensuring the executive always has clear visibility into priorities, challenges, and required decisions.
3. Vendor & Client Meeting Leadership
- Lead the preparation, advanced planning, and orchestration of leadership team, vendor, and client meetings.
- Ensure meeting objectives are clear, participants are well‑prepared, and critical action items and next steps are captured, assigned, and tracked to completion.
4. Project Management & Special Initiatives
- Independently own and execute special ad‑hoc projects end‑to‑end, often requiring deep understanding of organizational objectives, particularly across Finance and operational functions.
- Apply strong discretion and maintain strict confidentiality when managing sensitive or high‑visibility initiatives.
- Establish structure, process, and accountability mechanisms to move complex workstreams forward with clarity and speed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience influencing and partnering with senior leaders in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to quickly grasp operational mechanics across diverse functions.
- Advanced organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to create clarity in ambiguity.
- Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives or facilitating complex project delivery preferred.

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $100,000 - $160,000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
