Foot Locker is hiring a Merchandise Service Specialist to join our team! The core responsibility of the Merchandise Services Specialist is to maintain proper workflow balance and purchase order creation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Merchandise Services Specialist will work as a cohesive team and balance all workloads with each member of the team so that not one person is more worked or underworked than another member of the team.
- Drive the creation of Purchase Orders through the PO RPA process. Troubleshoot and review errors to ensure accuracy of PO’s created. Manual creation will be necessary at times in conjunction with the PO RPA process in peak volume periods.
- The Merchandise Services Specialist will support the merchant team by troubleshooting SKU publishing issues between Common Product, Mainframe and PeopleSoft systems to enable timely purchase order creation.
- Assist merchant community with purchase order discrepancies from vendors relating to shortages, overages, and pricing. Take appropriate steps to bring any open po suspense issues to a resolution in a timely manner.
- Assist merchant and logistics community with the movement of purchase order attributes including dates priority codes and warehouse location.
- KPI’s will be utilized to monitor creation workload and be balanced between all team members to ensure work is created timely to avoid missing vendor purchase order deadlines.
- A proficient understanding of navigating Excel with the ability to understand basic formulas and deploy them when necessary.
- Ability to solve problems as needed and reach out for guidance as needed.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Mathematical Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The pay range is $20 - $23 per hour. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
