Overview

The Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising (VM) Operations is a field leadership role responsible for driving consistent, high‑quality in‑store operational and visual execution across a defined market of stores. This role ensures store environments reflect brand standards, operational excellence, and best‑in‑class omnichannel execution.

As the operational subject‑matter expert for Visual Merchandising and in‑store execution, the Senior Manager partners closely with District Managers and Field Customer Experience leaders to ensure initiatives, standards, and priorities are executed effectively at the store level. This role plays a key part in translating enterprise direction into practical, market‑specific execution that drives customer engagement and business results.


Responsibilities

In‑Store Execution & Operational Excellence

  • Drive consistent execution of in‑store visual merchandising, operational standards, and store initiatives across assigned markets.
  • Create an environment of operational excellence that supports elevated customer experience and brand presentation.
  • Ensure best‑in‑class omnichannel execution through disciplined in‑store processes and standards.
  • Balance shifting priorities to minimize customer experience disruptions while maintaining execution quality.

Field Partnership & Alignment

  • Partner closely with District Managers and Field Customer Experience teams to support execution of enterprise initiatives.
  • Create alignment between Field teams and Brand, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations partners.
  • Serve as the operational subject‑matter expert for in‑store execution, supporting field leaders with guidance, best practices, and problem solving.
  • Apply GEO and market‑level insights to adapt execution and strengthen competitive positioning.

Operational & Financial Performance

  • Execute against annual financial and operational plans through strong in‑store execution and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities within day‑to‑day operations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer impact.
  • Leverage data and performance insights to support recommendations and execution decisions.

Leadership & Change Management

  • Support execution of change initiatives, special projects, and new operational programs at the field level.
  • Drive continuous improvement by maximizing the potential of people, tools, and technology.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational rigor across the field organization.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 7 years of relevant retail or field operations experience.
  • Experience executing retail strategies in support of broader business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of in‑store operations, visual merchandising standards, and customer experience execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with field leadership and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to lead change, improve productivity, and harmonize processes across regions or markets.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, multi‑unit, and geographically dispersed environments.
  • High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% within assigned markets.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting omnichannel retail environments.
  • Background partnering with Brand or Visual Merchandising teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise initiatives or large‑scale operational rollouts.

Compensation

  • Starting Base Salary: $91,000 - $119,000, based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market alignment.
