Overview

Footlocker Inc. is currently recruiting for a Sr. Director of Product Management who will be responsible for the strategic vision, development, and execution of our Merchandising and Planning product portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and planning, strong leadership skills, and a track record of successfully bringing innovative products to market.


Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and articulate the product vision and strategy for Merchandising and Planning capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and market demands.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product development and differentiation.
  • Product Development:
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including requirements gathering, prioritization, and execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality, innovative products on time and within budget.
  • Ensure product features and functionalities align with customer needs and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Merchandising and Planning teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product launches.
  • Engage with key customers and partners to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Present product strategy and updates to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional growth and development.

Performance Management:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Conduct regular reviews of product performance, user engagement, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement processes and tools to enhance product management efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on Merchandising and Planning capabilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex retail products and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising strategies, and planning processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive product decisions and measure success.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.
  • Passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $220000 - $240000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
