Overview

The Sr. Manager, IT Finance has the ability to work from home in a fully remote work environment.


Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager, IT Finance in the Information Technology Financial Planning department that will oversee corporate hardware and software expense. A successful candidate will will use critical thinking and be detail oriented and will need to develop and understanding of Foot Locker accounting and reporting structures. This role will partner with IT leaders in forecasting and budgeting corporate expense. They also will regularly interact with the technical leaders, Accounting management, and Corporate FP&A. The Sr. Manager, IT Finance reports directly to the Director, IT Finance and oversees three direct reports.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for Information Technology operating expense
  • Manage the operating expense finances and reporting as it relates global technology costs
  • Manage and provide necessary guidance on budgeting, forecast variances, and analytical support to IT VPs, Directors, and Managers
  • Coordinate work of multiple analysts weekly and ensure monthly forecasts are done timely and accurately
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and financial schedules for technology and business leadership
  • Manage the hardware and software renewal tracking process, ensuring renewals are done on time within contract terms
  • Provide guidance to financial analysts on expense analysis and ad hoc projects
  • Leverage expertise and business knowledge to provide guidance to the technical teams on budget management
  • Manage the accounting function for technology expenses globally ensuring all entries are done according to GAAP standards
  • Uses influence to get favorable contract renewal terms from vendors and technical leadership on IT maintenance items including working through all options and alternatives to minimize expense
  • Manages team by providing coaching, setting priorities, and managing timelines
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of the team’s work

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a Business Finance or accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Must have working knowledge of vendor licensing models
  • MS Office Suite experience
  • Accounting system knowledge
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to function effectively and efficiently under pressure to meet financial deadlines
  • Strong inter-personal skills to work with all levels of management and a diverse team

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $100000 - $120000 /year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
