What You´ll Do
- Working as part of the engineering team to ensure the smooth development & handover of systems from conception to commissioning and into sustaining operations.
- Preparing URS, scoping information for key discipline projects and supporting the E&I scoping of other disciplines
- Selecting and sizing electrical and instrument equipment appropriate to ATEX and non ATEX environments
- Overseeing project design, carrying out design risk assessment supporting function for process risk assessments and HAZOP assessments.
- Preparing budgets and capital requests For EI&A projects and supporting team members in budget preparation on the EI&A components of their projects.
- Preparing and tracking project schedule.
- Project coordination, interfacing, and directing contractors during implementation
- Examining and signing off on EI &A design, loop sheets, ATEX inspections, descriptive systems documents and RECI certs and compiling project safety file.
- Supporting the engineering team as the SME in the EI&A discipline, design, reviewing and approving to the relevant standards
- A degree in Chemistry, Mechanical or Process Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Process Engineering within the chemical or pharmaceutical sectors
- Strong electrical, instrumentation, control devices background.
- Handled scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and scope development as a Project Engineer.
- P&ID development activities, HAZOP/SIL reviews and supporting cost estimate activities.
- Specification of control system cabinets and instruments, control devices, power supplies,
- Field verification & commissioning of I/O loops, Instruments, Cable and Termination schedules.
- Verify intrinsically safe calculations for instrument loops
- Control of contractors during installation.
